Overview

Connect Keysender to Make so a scenario can watch your orders, stock, and credits and act on them for you. Add the Keysender app to your Make account with one link, connect it once with your API key and secret, and reuse that connection in every scenario you build.

TL;DR

  • Open the Keysender invite link and accept it. The Keysender app then appears in your Make account.
  • Copy your API Key and API Secret from Account, Settings, Security in Keysender.
  • Add any Keysender module in Make, click Add next to Connection, and paste them in.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • A Keysender vendor account.
  • A Make account. A free one is enough to start.
  • Your API Key and API Secret, found in Keysender under Account, Settings, Security.
🔑

Your API Secret works like a password, so keep it private. Make stores it encrypted and never shows it again.

Steps

  1. Open the invite link, sign in to Make if asked, and accept the invitation. The Keysender app now appears in your Make account.

    The Make logo

    Add Keysender to Make

  2. In Make, open a scenario and add a module. Search for Keysender and pick a module to start with, for example [Account] Get Stats.

  3. Click Add next to Connection.

  4. In Keysender, open Account, then Settings, then Security, and find the API Information card.

  5. Copy your API Key. Click the eye icon to reveal your API Secret, then copy that too.

  6. Back in Make, paste both into the connection form and leave Base URL as it is. Then click Save.

Confirm it works

Click Run once on the module. It returns your account's numbers, for example today's orders, and your connection is ready to use in every scenario you build.

What you can build

  • Post a message to your team chat the moment an order is delivered.
  • Add stock as soon as new keys are ready, from a spreadsheet, a form, or another app, to the same inventory you manage by hand today.
  • Get an alert when a product's stock or your credit balance runs low.
  • Create a sale automatically when a payment lands somewhere Keysender does not sell directly.
  • Keep your customer list and your CRM in step.
  • Follow your orders as they arrive and send each one wherever your team works.

Good to know

  • Your connection lasts about one year. When it ends, scenarios stop with an authorization error. In Make, open Credentials and press Verify on the Keysender connection, or add a new connection with the same API Key and Secret.
  • Modules that start with [Supply] need Supply access on your account. Email [email protected] to add it.
  • Every module works only with the Keysender account your key and secret belong to.
⏱️

Triggers check on the schedule you set, every 15 minutes by default, so new activity shows up within a few minutes rather than instantly. Each check uses your Make operations, so choose an interval that fits your Make plan.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Cause Action
Keysender does not appear in Make's module picker The invitation has not been accepted in this Make account Open the invite link again, accept it, then refresh Make
The connection will not save The API Key or API Secret was copied with a character missing Copy both again from Security and paste them in
Scenarios that ran for months now fail with an authorization error The connection's access token expired after about a year Press Verify on the Keysender connection under Credentials, or add a new connection
A [Supply] module returns an access error Supply access is not enabled on your account Email [email protected] and ask for it to be added

If it still is not working

Submit a claim so Keysender Support can review it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the database field I see in some Make modules?

Keysender calls each product you sell a database internally, so that word appears in some module and field names. Modules like [Database] Add Keys, [Order] Create Sale, and [Database] List Keys show a database field that lists your products by name, SKU, and units available, so you choose it by name.

Do Make triggers run instantly?

No. Triggers check on the schedule you set, so new activity shows up within a few minutes rather than instantly. 15 minutes is a sensible start, and shorter suits anything time-sensitive. Each check uses your Make operations, so choose an interval that fits your Make plan.

Can I use one connection in more than one scenario?

Yes. Make keeps the connection in your account, so you pick it from the list in every Keysender module you add. You enter your API Key and API Secret once.
